car seats

Can I just say, that it really peeves me off to see that parents don't put their children in safety seats, and sometimes not even seatbelts period?
It does. It makes my blood boil. I can't tell you HOW many phone calls I've made to the police to report that I witnessed a parent driving with their infant on their lap, or their two year old bouncing around in the back seat, not strapped down, let alone not in a car seat/booster seat.
It's not just a law people...it's your child's precious life!
Okay, so you're a perfect driver? What about the drunk guy who is coming at you head on? Do you think that if he hits you that your child is gonna walk away from that?

There's a reason for the laws people. They're not there to be bossy or dominating. They're there for your safety!

Missouri car seat safety laws require children under age four and under 40 pounds to ride in a federally approved child car seat that is appropriate for the child's age and size. Children ages 4 through 7 who weigh more than 40 pounds but less than 80 pounds or are not at least 4'9" tall must ride in an appropriate child car seat or booster seat. Children ages 8 to 18 must wear a seat belt. Missouri law also prohibits children under age 18 from riding in an unenclosed truck bed.
